As you arrive, take in the aroma of wild salmon grilling over fragrant alder wood, the signature entrée of this Alaskan feast. Enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring alderwood-grilled wild Alaska salmon, Bonanza barbecue ribs, Chilkoot baked beans, Tongass wild-rice pilaf, hot chowder, fresh salads, and homemade blueberry cake for dessert. Beer and wine are available for purchase. Vegetarian and gluten-free options ensure there’s something for everyone. Come back for seconds—or even thirds—while live Alaskan folk music sets the mood.
After your meal, explore the natural beauty surrounding the Salmon Bake. Stroll along the creek to Salmon Creek Falls and visit the entrance of the historic Wagner Mine, where you can pan for gold, see mining relics, and watch for spawning salmon. Roast marshmallows over a crackling campfire, snap a photo at the interactive gold rush mural, or browse the trading post for a unique souvenir, including gold pans and other mementos.
With regularly running shuttle buses, you can stay and enjoy the experience at your own pace. Savor every bite, soak in the atmosphere, and take home unforgettable memories of your Alaskan adventure.
